The founders of the 21st Century Barwise have family roots in land and cattle going back before the Civil War.
Our family farm, ranch and land operations span several states and three centuries. We are proud members of the Texas Farm Bureau and the Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association.
Some people have asked if we are related to the Barwise family. We are not. The Ranch was “Barwise” when we took over, but we identify with the legacy of J H Barwise, and kept the name.
We believe land ownership is a stewardship. It was here before we arrived and will be here until the end of time.
We are just passing through.
